Our cPanel VPS is excellent for Web Designers, Resellers and Hosting Service Providers (HSPs). cPanel VPS is our most popular VPS product. cPanel is designed specifically for Web Hosts wanting to offer feature rich packages, reseller programs and more. With a VPS, you get root access to your private server, enabling you to utilize all of the features cPanel has to offer.

Advantages of a VPS for Web Hosting


  • You are not impacted by other resellers customers
  • With a VPS you can determine your own policy settings. As an example:
    • Number of MySQL Connections
    • Outgoing eMail Limit, if any
    • Which scripts to enable/disable
  • You can over subscribe disk space and bandwidth ( 80% to 90% of the customers use less than 20% of their quotas)
  • You can customize settings
  • You can install customized programs
  • Web HSP is responsible for OS and Kernel updates
  • You control the number of accounts on your server

Server Management

  • There is some server management required of our VPS customers.
    • Keeping control panel software updated (although you can have automatic updates and/or manually update through your WebHost Manager)
    • Monitoring the server(we provide Basic Monitoring services with our VPS)
  • The reseller needs to have or at least be interested in learning Basic Server terminology, such as Apache (Web Server), Bind (DNS), SSL, SSH, etc.
  • Our technicians are available to assist you with any problems or instructions you need to assist you in managing your server.
  • WebHSP manages the hardware and Operating System (OS), including doing kernel security updates.

Note: If you are not interested in having to do this level of server management and do not have anyone that can assist you with this task, we recommend you consider the Traditional Reseller Program.

Backup Options

Web HSP completes daily scheduled incremental backups with full weekly backups of our VPS servers stored off server. You can request recovery of data files, directories, etc. through our online Support Desk for a by incident fee.

Alternately, you can use the Backup and restore features provided in your control panel. We highly recommend backing up your data remotely on a periodic basis.

Monitoring Services

All VPS nclude our basic monitoring service. Our system monitors the services and if a port/service fails to respond, the system will automatically restart the service. In the event one of the ports/services (see list below) does not automatically restart successfully, the system will email/page you.
